How To Apply For the 3mtt Program

To apply for the 3mtt programme, visit the official website at https://3mtt.nitda.gov.ng/  or https://3mtt.nitda.gov.ng/ to read more information about the program and how to get started.

Alternatively, you can just start the application process by filling out the application form at https://fellow.3mtt.training/

How The 3mtt Program Works

The 3mtt program operates a fellowship model in collaboration with NITDA. After the application process is over, Nitda would select the successful candidates and they would be deployed to the various training institutes that have been approved by Nitda.

The Nitda-approved training institutes would train the applicants on their chosen skills for a period of 3 months only. The training is hybrid which means it is a combination of online and In-person training.

Nitda would cover the total cost of the training with the students paying nothing from their pocket.

For the first phase of the training, only 30,000 students would be trained representing just 1% of the 3 million talents. The next phase would see 300,000 students trained, while the last phase, the rest would be trained to make a total of 3 million students.

How The Fake 3mtt Scams Work

There are a lot of fake 3mtt websites out there like the 3mtt.training website. They operate a phishing scam in which they cloned the official 3mtt application website to make it seem as if they are the real website.

These scammers create these fake websites to look like the 3mtt website and then they deceive individuals into providing sensitive information such as bank details, BVN (Bank Verification Number), and other personal information. Once the scammers obtain these details, they then use it to gain unauthorized access to the victim’s bank accounts and carry out fraudulent transactions.

How to Avoid the 3mtt Scam

  1. Never enter your banking details on any website claiming to be 3mtt. These details are personal to you. The official 3mtt website would never ask for your Bvn or banking details.
  2. Never enter the banking otp you received on any website that claims to be 3mtt. The scammers are able to get access to your account through the otp your bank sent to your phone.
  3. If you notice you have been scammed, contact your bank immediately to block your account to prevent unauthorized debits.
